The AGM saw a new committee appointed to take up the reins for the 2011 - 2012 season. Martin Hunt has taken up the position of Chairman and Chris Ballard is now Vice Chairman with the rest of the committee unchanged.

ANNUAL CLUB TOURNAMENT
On two consecutive Monday nights we will be holding our traditional Closed Club Tournament. The usual five elements will be competed in: Open Singles, Open Doubles, Plate, Handicap Singles and Handicap Doubles.

At our EGM on 16/02 we successfully finalised our formal migration to Royal Russel School and the club was officially renamed Ballards. We also elected a new committee. John Barker taking up the chairmans mallet once again, but also some new blood to keep things fresh: Martin Hunt was elected as Vice Chairman and Chris Ballard as Social Secretary.

We will be holding our first social event as Ballards. It will be a pleasant get together at the Purley Bury Bowls Club Pavilion, but we need to have a short EGM before hand to complete some unfinished business as a result of our move.

The first practice nights have been a great success with many potential new members showing up. Some have already joined so a very good start to the new season.
